why text and not video?
Because nobody sees your face, your room, or hears your voice. You decide what to share, one message at a time.
It's also easier on slow connections, and you can read a chat on the bus without headphones.
what do I get?
- Typing indicators so you know a reply is coming.
- One person at a time, not a crowded room.
- Nothing saved. Close the tab and the chat is gone.
- A Report button that moderators actually read.
and if someone's rude?
Leave straight away with Next. If they broke the rules, press Report first. Harassment, sexual messages and anyone under 18 get blocked. Read the rules.

Is it really anonymous?
There are no accounts, and you choose whether to give a name at all. The other person only sees what you type. Just don't type anything that identifies you.
Are my messages saved?
No. One-to-one messages go from you to the other person and are not stored by VibeText. Closing the tab ends the chat for good.
Does it cost anything?
No. VibeText is free, with nothing to install. It works in any modern browser on a phone or computer.
How do I find someone new?
Press Next, or Esc on a keyboard. The current chat ends and you are matched with someone else.
Someone is being creepy. What do I do?
Leave with Next, then press Report if they broke the rules. Moderators review reports and block people who harass others.
Can I see when they are typing?
Yes. You'll see a typing note while the other person writes, and they'll see yours.
